  • Abstract
This work considers an optimal integration of a microwave, planar Yagi antenna with a wideband, ferrite circulator. This is accomplished by designing a complex-to-complex impedance matching network that presents to the circulator the required impedance for necessary circulation while affecting a maximum power transfer condition between the circulator and the antenna. Optimal bandwidth is achieved by using a Greens function model for the ferrite and by selecting the parameters of the ferrite (e.g., magnetic saturation, biasing field, etc.) in accordance with a bandwidth metric
