Abstract
Secret image sharing is a technique for protecting images from being grabbed or tampered with. It involves the partition of the secret image into many shadow images. Usually, the small shadow images are useful for fast transmission and storage. However, the smaller size of shadows means more data compressed with low quality images. In order to reconcile this contradiction, a new scheme which can flexibly adjust the relationship between the size of shadows and the image quality according to the actual demand was proposed in this paper. This scheme combined with technology of compressed sensing and Shamir`s (k,n)-threshold scheme, and realized the process of flexible adjustment in shadows by different observation rate. Experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme can reasonably adjust the relationship between the size of shadows and the image quality according to the actual requirements and the available bandwidth. The scheme has the certain practicality.
