Abstract :
A new design of printed antenna has been proposed and validated. It is very cost effective because based on a printed technology and compatible with FR4 low cost substrate. It is easy to integrate because very compact and well adapted to the rectangular format of any access point main board. The measurements on the arrowhead design in real working condition have exhibited good results in terms of return losses (2.2-2.7 GHz coverage for a needed 2.4-2.5 GHz band). This design has also been tested with a ST580 main board for throughput measurement. The arrowhead antenna system was found to be better than the original antenna solution
