Author_Institution :

Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of some of the social insect control methods which could be used with multiple behaviour based robots, together with some examples from robotics, simulated robots, and more abstract computational domains supporting mobile agents. It considers the characteristics of such control methods, and highlights some advantages and disadvantages in relation to conventional methods. For simplicity, only systems of homogeneous agents are considered.
