Abstract :
The antenna presented in this paper is a 3 patch near field design for the conveyor bottom read. It is an RFID reader path antenna array for RFID sortation application. It is a slim design (28 times 20 times 0.8") and is inserted under the belt. The intentions of this design are: 1) to reduce the far field gain to meet FCC requirement and, 2) to control the field strength distribution to let a RFID reader read only the box above the antenna while not read the adjacent box
