The San Antonio advanced traffic management system will monitor and control traffic in and around America´s ninth largest municipality. The area freeway design, featuring parallel arterials, offers an excellent opportunity for diversion of incident-related freeway overflow. Goals established for the system include decreased travel times, improved safety, improved energy efficiency, and reduced emissions
