Abstract :
In this paper, we introduce a new form of supermarket: Smart Market, in which customers can acquire detailed product information with Smart Marketpsilas facilities and expedite the checkout process without human intervention. We describe how Smart Market works and discuss related issues in detail. Our discussion concentrates on information acquisition, checkout process design, privacy protection and management enhancement. One of our contributions is the concept of ldquopaying anytime anywhererdquo which gives customers full freedom when checking out and eliminates the time wasted in checkout queues.
