Abstract
The important systems issues surrounding the circuit of a dynamic voltage restorer using battery energy storage for voltage dip mitigation are discussed by the authors. The connection arrangement, filtering, system control and effect of real power storage are examined. Simulation results for single and two-phase voltage sags indicate that the system responds quickly to changes in voltage phase and magnitude with only small system transients
