Title :
Compact electrothermal models for power electronics

Abstract :
The author describes how the use of compact electrothermal device models and heat-sink models will see increasing application as the cost of computing falls and the available models and parameters extraction techniques become progressively more developed. This will inevitably lead to the situation where reduced prototyping and more reliable power electronics design can be taken for granted, as has been experienced in the lower power design area
