Abstract :
We present a method of designing a new product suited for the customer´s image. The method consists of two phases. In the first phase, a concept space is formed by using customer´s images of several existing design cases. In the second phase, a new product is evolutionally designed by using some primitive operators which is generated by calculating the relative position of several similar design cases in the concept space. This method has a feature that it can create products from the viewpoint of customer´s personality, because a concept space is formed based on each customer´s images of existing cases
