Abstract
Boundary contour system (BCS) and feature contour system (FCS) human vision models are applied to magnetic resonance brain scan imagery to highlight significant features for the purpose of pattern recognition. A discussion is presented of psychophysical and neurophysiological evidence in support of the model. The implementation is described. The resulting images are compared to the original to demonstrate the effectiveness of the model
