Abstract
The problems of the radiating systems synthesis according to the prescribed amplitude directivity pattern are considered. These problems are nonlinear since the initial directivity pattern is the amplitude pattern. The numerical methods for their solution are used effectively. The investigations of a series of problems for a number of radiating systems using the unified variational approach are realized. The optimization of the functionals used results form a reduction of the appropriate nonlinear equations or by a direct optimization with the aid of the gradient methods. The programs for solving the synthesis problems of the radiating systems using the proposed algorithms are developed
