Abstract
In this paper, perceptual graph is proposed to represent the relationship between neighboring points in digital images. The ant colony system is applied to build the perceptual graph of digital images, which makes the basis of the layered model of a machine vision system, in the experiments, edge feature extraction and image segmentation are implemented with the proposed machine vision model. The experimental results show that the ant colony system can effectively extract image features.
