Abstract
In this paper, the transmitting and receiving characteristics of a printed UWB antenna are studied. A pair of CPW-fed disk monopole antenna was fabricated and the transfer function of antenna system was measured. Based on the transfer function and the reciprocity theorem, transmitting and receiving characteristics of the CPW-fed disk monopole are calculated. Furthermore, radiated pulse is obtained by convolving the input signal with the impulse response of the transmitting antenna
