Abstract
A comprehensive numerical method has been developed to study the induced voltages on an overhead power line caused by lightning return strokes with arbitrary shapes, such as inclined lightning, zigzag lightning, etc. Significant increase in the induced voltages was observed for the inclined/zigzag lightning strokes than those induced by the vertical lightning strokes
