Abstract
The stability of neural network controllers for a class of plants is studied. With the use of the passivity theorem, the stability region of the weight coefficients can be derived and hence sufficient conditions for a stable neural network controller can be obtained. Once these conditions are satisfied, a stable neural network controller can be designed easily
