Abstract :
In this paper, a dispersion relation of a subgridded TLM mesh is derived by the first time. The obtained dispersion relation permits the analysis of the dispersion characteristics of 3D meshes composed of two levels of refinement (4:1 transitions). In addition, the numerical dispersion is solved numerically and the dispersion characteristics of three typically found subgridding mesh configurations are analyzed in detail
