Abstract :
The single-phase power factor correction using a buck boost type converter can control the output voltage over a wide range, because it has the ability to step-up and step-down the output voltage. Firstly, this paper compares the mechanisms of power transmission and the characteristics based on power transmission flow chart of various converters. Secondly, various chopper circuits are applied to a single-phase power factor correction, it is found that a CSC converter is suitable for such a circuit.
