Abstract :
In this paper, the Virtual Reference Feedback Tuning method is applied to the control of a pH neutralization process. A linear discrete time Two Degrees of Freedom Controller with feedforward action, is computed directly using measured data from an open-loop experiment and then tested on both the non-linear model in-simulation and the real plant in-situ. This data-driven restricted order controller successfully controlled this highly non-linear plant without requiring a process model.
