Abstract :
In this paper, a line source with Gaussian pulse and sinusoidal pulse excitation is used. Through an exact analysis and FFT technique, the imaging properties is investigated. The numerical results suggest that the electromagnetic waves would not focus if the source currents include a wide range of frequency components in which both the permittivity and permeability of the LHM slab deviate from -1 significantly
