Abstract :
Requirements for high-power transmitter amplifiers, transmitter combiners, and improved active receiver multicoupler systems for the purpose of increasing coverage area for cellular radio service are examined. It is shown that use of high-power transmit amplifiers, tower-mounted receive amplifiers, and low-loss transmitter combiners leads to balanced wide-area mobile coverage. The proposed RSA cellular antenna system is the one that is commonly used for 800-MHz SMR trunking systems
