Abstract :
An outline for an automated system to operate an automobile in a safer, more efficient manner is presented. A vehicle direction control device is proposed, consisting of three parallel receivers in the vehicle. The center receiver controls the vehicle´s direction along a primary cable in the roadway. A change of direction cable system takes over control through one of the vehicle´s side receivers. The vehicle changes to a new direction, and then the center receiver picks up the signal from the new primary cable. Vehicle control is provided through computer operation and suitable programming. Collision avoidance is provided through onboard radar and ultrasound systems
