Abstract :
We present a new CFIE formulation which removes the testing problem associated to the traditional CFIE formulation and can be applied in the analysis of general composite metallic and dielectric objects with junctions. The developed formulation is a combination of two CFIE, denoted by JCFIE (CFIE for the electric surface current J) and MCFIE (CFIE for the magnetic surface current M). In addition, we show that the developed new CFIE formulation leads to a better conditioned matrix equation that the traditional CFIE and PMCHWT formulations and hence, gives more rapidly converging iterative solutions when the matrix equation is solved with the generalized minimal residual (GMRES) method.
