Abstract
We present our results in developing trustworthy autonomous software to assist the user at solving complex tasks in very dynamic scenarios. We describe a generic architecture to facilitate the systematic design of autonomous, adaptive and safe applications. Generic modules including one for trustworthiness enforcement dedicated to ensure the system functional stability are proposed. Modularization based on the cognitive function of the components is encouraged. A key premise is that domain knowledge is explicitly specified as a parameter of each application, with the side effect of enabling seamless integration with other remote autonomous or infrastructure applications. Our design choices are exemplified on a demonstrative travel management application.
