Abstract
This paper presents a new approach for a hybrid solution, where a relatively low number of ports (e.g. N = 2) allows low-dimensional simultaneous beam steering, but the directional properties of this multi-port antenna can be re-configured between different states by means of switched parasitic elements. A general theory as well as a design example are presented
