  • Abstract
In this paper, a new electrochemotherapy system for tumor treatment is described. The treatment system can produce electrical energy output in two current forms: direct current (DC) and pulses. In order to be electrically safe, the system supplies the function of output synchronization pulse with R waveform. In this study, fifteen patients with esophageal cancer were treated using this system. The results show that total effectiveness, which includes CR and PR, is 73.4%. We also discuss some important parameters of ECT for tumor treatment in animal experiments and clinical trials
