Abstract :
In this paper, a quasi-planar wide band conical antenna coated on a dielectric slab is proposed. It is mechanically stable, relatively easy to build and integrate with the planar circuits. Full wave simulation shows that the input impedance of the quasi-planar conical antenna is almost frequency independent over ten octave bandwidth
