Abstract :
This paper introduces the progress of wavelength conversion based on cross-gain modulation (XGM), cross-phase modulation (XPM) and four-wave mixing (FWM) in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs). Some creative experiments and schemes in our lab are also presented.
