Abstract
A technique for the computation of the magnitude and phase of 2D systems is presented. This technique is based on the extension of a 1D algorithm. The algorithm does not require any complex arithmetic, and can easily be implemented a personal computer, on which it requires less storage than the 2D discrete Fourier transform algorithm.<>
