Abstract
Notch DRAs fed by a microstrip line and coupled by longitudinal and transverse slots, are presented. Characteristics such as bandwidth, center frequency, and radiation patterns, are compared by both coupling slots. All the characteristics are similar, but only the center frequency is different. The simulated center frequency for the longitudinally coupling slot is at 3.23 GHz, and that for transversely coupling slot is at 2.93 GHz, individually. Therefore, if we want to obtain a lower frequency range, the transversely coupling slot is the good choice
