Abstract :
This paper discusses the sensitivities achieved by either real or synthetic aperture radiometers. In the discussions of both kinds of radiometers, sensitivity is normalized to effective integration time, which is defined to relate the sensitivities of different kind of instruments. Derived relations explicitly demonstrate that the sensitivity by synthetic aperture radiometer is comparable to that of real aperture radiometer.
