Abstract
It is of scientific and clinical importance to image cardiac electrical activity from noninvasive body surface electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements. Such approaches include body surface ECG imaging and ECG inverse imaging to deduce information on distributions of cardiac bioelectrical sources from body surface ECGs. This article attempts to provide a brief review of research efforts towards ECG imaging, and a review of research activities on computational and experimental investigation of one of the ECG imaging approaches-body surface Laplacian mapping
