Abstract :
In this paper, the algorithm diversity is applied in the software antenna instead of recognizing the signal environment. The LMS adaptive antenna and the switched-beam antenna receive the signal separately and than their outputs are combined according to their signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR), avoiding the limit of array scale and high computation cost associated with the scenario categorization. Compatibility between the software antenna and the actual 3G mobile communication system, TD-SCDMA, is also considered, which is rarely discussed in literatures before
