Abstract
Gap region may appear in image after a specific image target is replaced. In order to inpaint the image, a fast exemplar-based method is proposed. The filling order of target patches is decided by their priority coefficients. A skip-radiating searching algorithm is proposed to find optimal matching patches in the specified areas. The image data of these patches is copied to target patches to realize image inpainting. The fast algorithm greatly shortens the searching time. Performance evaluation shows that the method improves the quality of synthesized images and accomplishes real-time criterion.
