Abstract :
Presents high frequency electromagnetic field computations using vector finite elements in three dimensions. The work addresses both bounded and unbounded problems. Bounded problems are concerned with closed structures and guided waves (resonators, waveguides, microwave junctions) and lead to resonance problems (free oscillations analysis) or driven problems (forced oscillation analysis). Unbounded problems relate to electromagnetic scattering when a dielectric body is submitted to an incident wave in open space. The finite element approach is achieved with tangentially continuous finite elements (tetrahedra and hexahedra). The potential for the models is demonstrated through various electromagnetic analyses
