Abstract :
There are many factors influencing the RFID system performance. Among these factors, the multi-path fading effect and noise are two important reasons which have a close relationship with the power transmission and anti-collision performance of RFID system. In this paper, we focus on these two factors, investigating and analyzing their influences on the multi-tag identification performance. By simulating the RFID EPC C1 Gen2 anti-collision algorithm according to the tag location and SNR level in computer simulation, we observed that in room of width 10 m height 6 m with SNR=7 dB AWGN channel environment, when identifying 100 tags under the identification distance is 5 m, the multi-path effect causes about 188,080 ms more time spent than the ideal environment without multi-path effect considered.
