  • Abstract
    In this paper new silicon and device technologies, advanced device concepts and future aspects for system integration in the industrial, automotive and consumer segments are addressed. New ultrafast switching devices with outstanding ruggedness performance in terms of avalanche, short circuit and overload behaviour will be discussed. The management of device, packaging and circuit layout parasitics will be the major challenge for system design engineers in the future.
