Abstract
Suehiro´s DFT (SD)-method has been proposed for multi-carrier system, which achieves higher spectrum efficiency of information transmission. In this paper, non-continuous SD-method is generated for non-continuous multi-carrier system. In Cognitive Radio (CR) systems, Non Continuous-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (NC-OFDM) is employed to avoid interference for spectrum holes. This mechanism is quite suitable to involve non-continuous SD-method and formulate the Non-Contiguous Orthogonal Signal Division Multiplex (NC-OSDM) system. Simulation results show that NC-OSDM enjoys higher spectrum efficiency compared with the traditional NC-OFDM, which confirms the high efficiency in broadband CR systems.
