  • Abstract
    Service is accepted as an effective way for mobile nodespsila communication and collaboration in MANETs. Many efforts have been spent on service discovery and selection, but few works study reliable service discovery and selection. Furthermore, since the dynamic nature of MANETs and limited energy of nodes lead to a high probability of service failure in MANETs, it is necessary to select a reliable service for executing. In this paper, we propose a reliable service discovery and selection approach (RSD&S). To achieve high reliability of service, it adopts link expiration time prediction and hybrid selection. The former is based on nodepsilas location; the later is based on path expiration time, residual energy and hop count. Furthermore, we propose a reliable service discovery and selection approach with pruning (RSD&SWP). It improves RSD&S on network performance through pruning the redundant reply.
