Abstract :
Wireless sensors and sensor networks have an important impact in meeting the need of green computing, mainly due to two reasons: 1) the sensor and sensor network itself is green low energy consumption and few greenhouse emissions; 2) most of the proposed solutions to smart environment and green computing rely on wireless sensor and sensor network technologies, such as the smart power grids, smart buildings, smart transportation systems and smart industrial process control. Those sensor applications significantly contribute to more efficient use of resources and thus a reduction of greenhouse emissions.
