  • Abstract
The Enclosed Space Detection System (ESDS) is a device to detect the presence of persons hiding in the enclosed spaces of a vehicle. The system operates by detecting the presence of the human ballistocardiogram (a small but measurable shock wave which propagates through the body each time the heart beats, and which results in small but theoretically detectable deflections of the surface of the enclosure)
