  • Abstract
    This paper has applied the AI (artificial intelligence) technology to the intelligent design of relay because of disadvantages of the traditional CAD technology, the expert system technology and the traditional CAD technology being combined organically, an intelligent CAD system platform of relay - the integrated CAD expert system of electromagnetic relay was developed. The CAD expert system integrates relay design expert system, relay characteristic analysis system, 3D (three-dimensional) mechanical CAD system, relay optimization design system and finite element analysis system etc functional modules, also the data are transferred seamlessly between all the functional modules. Using the CAD expert system can greatly improve the quality and efficiency of relay design, shorten the development cycle of new products effectively, reduce the development cost of new products greatly.
