Abstract
In this paper, we examine performance improvements of a collaborative spectrum sensing system and attempt to answer several questions. Can the thresholds used in a collaborative system be reduced from that of a single user to yield the same probability of success? How does an improvement in the detection capabilities of a single node affect a "collaborative" decision?
