  • Abstract
    Image reconstruction of electrical resistance tomography (ERT) is an ill-posed inverse problem. In this work, a new image reconstruction algorithm of ERT for the measurement of two-phase flow is proposed. Tikhonov regularization principle is introduced to overcome the instability problem of initial image reconstruction. And, ART algorithm is used to improve the image quality of the original reconstructed image. Thus, the new image reconstruction algorithm is a hybrid of Tikhonov regularization principle and algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) algorithm. Experimental results show that the hybrid image reconstruction algorithm can efficiently overcome the ill-posed problem of image reconstruction of ERT and is superior to the sensitivity coefficient algorithm.
