Abstract :
In light of the working process of S&T system and by means of data envelopment analysis and statistics, this paper establishes an index system from the investment in science & technology, its research and development, and its contribution, thus evaluating the performance of science and technology. Meanwhile, it constructs the framework to evaluate the scientific & technological performance and makes an empirical research into the scientific & technological performance in different areas. The research on regional performance of science and technology shows that the level of Chinapsilas science and technology performance is relatively lower, the regional gap is larger, the level of east region is higher than that of middle and west region, but the gap between middle and west region is small. This framework is true of the evaluation of S & T performance in macro countries, areas and cities.
