Abstract
In this work the aperture shape is provided by the optimization process, not being forced to any prefixed geometry. To obtain the generalized scattering matrix (GSM) of the FSS structure, the method relies on the application of the hybrid MM-FEM procedure. A brief formulation of the method proposed is presented in this paper. Finally, some preliminary numerical results are shown to validate this approach
