Abstract
In the current article a network based approach and system setup is introduced that allows for a precise measurement of both, the spatial position and the orientation of mobile objects. A multidimensional scaling based algorithm is applied to solve the challenging localization task. The feasibility of the approach is proved experimentally with a 5.8 GHz localization network for a vehicle localization application.
