Abstract :
In this paper, especially by focusing on H-plane sectoral horns, a special analysis method using the posts inside the rectangular cavity is proposed and discussed. As a first step, the validity of the parallel arrangement of the short posts (the flare angle = 0) that operates equivalently as a rectangular waveguide is examined. The calculated results are compared with the reference and a good agreement is confirmed. Then the flare of the H-plane sectoral horn is realized by changing the short post arrangement. Finally, the phase distribution of the field inside the H-plane sectoral horn with a metal baffle is considered. Interesting and remarkable results are obtained in this regard
