Abstract :
A 2 V, 10 b, 20 MSample/s mixed-mode (voltage-mode and current-mode) subranging CMOS A/D converter (ADC) suitable for video-signal processing systems operates at the lowest power supply voltage (2 V) and with the lowest power consumption (20 mW) of any video-ADC reported to date. Conventional video-ADCs using high-speed high-gain op amps and/or a large number of analog switches require at least a 2.5 V supply.
