Abstract
We report computer simulation results and some experimental data of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) measurements using the fixed analyzer method in which accuracy was improved by means of averaging of measurements ensemble with random input state of polarisation, and by repeated smoothing of measured data, with variable parameter controlling length of smoothing
